What we have done

The work involved three related but fairly self-contained pieces of work that contributed to the overall regeneration effort:

The production of an economic audit – to provide District and ward information that will underpin the regeneration effort at all levels.
Preparing ward level community appraisals – to summarise the key issues in each ward and the responses favoured by local people; and also to support the process of building local capacity so that local people can take a more active role in future regeneration efforts including the preparation of projects which may be eligible for funding under Objective 2 , Priority 4 and/or activity which qualifies for NRF support
Drawing-up a Community Economic Development Strategy – to provide the framework for developing projects and allocating resources available through Objective 2, Priority 4.
